We're celebrating Wedding Wednesday a day late this week, with one of our good friend's beachside wedding! Ali and Stuart fell in love while working in Washington D.C. When trying to decide where to tie the knot, the couple (who still call DC home), wanted to pick a fun location to bring together their friends and family (who are located all over the country) to celebrate. After much debate, they finally decided to get hitched in Stuart's hometown of sunny Santa Monica at The Beach Club!
Beach weddings are some of our absolute favorite to work on. Sandy toes, ocean backdrop, a warm breeze...what more do you need to make a wedding perfect? To be honest, not much, but the preppy accents Ali and Stuart added to their big day pretty much made their seaside nuptials perfection! When planning their west coast wedding, the couple wanted to make sure both their current home and their wedding's host city were represented. So they brought prep to California with fun accents that turned their wedding into a bicoastal affair!

Beginning with the couple's custom wedding monogram, we incorporated beach umbrellas (which The Beach Club is known for) with their initials. To keep things preppy, the couple paired a nautical coral and navy color scheme with their fun monogram. Pulling these two elements together was the perfect melding of east coast and west coast style, which branded their entire event. Between the magical Southern California location and preppy accents (including the bridesmaids' mix-matched navy dresses, the groomsmen coral ties, and of course...the bridal party outfitted in matching Jack Roger's sandals), their wedding was the epitome of oceanside chic.

The beach umbrella theme extended to the couple's wedding invitation envelope liner, adding a fun, preppy element to their ensemble!
