Great Scot, this tartan plaid inspired rehearsal dinner is amazing! We are so excited to share this creative event!! During the summer months, it's wedding central here at the N&L Studio. So when we get a rehearsal dinner thrown in the mix, it's fun! These dinners really set the tone for a couple's entire wedding weekend, so we love being able to be involved. Especially when the groom's family presents us with innovative inspiration, like the Boyce's did! The groom's mom (Ainsley) wanted to throw the couple a soiree inspired by the tradition and splendor of the Scottish Highlands, in celebration of her family's Scottish heritage, while incorporating their family crest...such a neat idea!
Everything from the design inspiration to the super swanky event location (The Petroleum Club of Houston), came together perfectly to create rehearsal dinner goodness!
The rehearsal dinner invitation was inspired by the groom's Scottish heritage, and highlighted both their family crest and the family's tartan plaid! We also included a traditional Scottish thistle which accented the RSVP card, custom stamp, and envelope liner.
The groom's family crest was one of our main inspirations behind both the dinner invitation and decor.
The couple's dinner menus (which featured both the family crest and thistles) nestled perfectly inside the chargers and accented the tartan tablecloths exquisitely!
No Scottish inspired event is complete without whiskey from the Highlands!
The prestigious Petroleum Club offered stunning views of downtown Houston at night, and was the perfect backdrop for this Scottish inspired rehearsal dinner!
If you love how we incorporated the groom's family crest into the dinner invitation, than be sure to check out Ashley and Harrison's Nantucket rehearsal dinner. Their bright invitation also included the family's crest, which is a great addition to any invite!
Xo,
Nico and Lala
