Another Nautical Nantucket Wedding!

T-minus one week until we leave for the beautiful island of Nantucket, and we couldn't be more excited!! We can't wait to meet with Nantucket wedding vendors, experience the breathtaking scenery, and most importantly...visit the Chicken Box! If you've been following our blog, you may have noticed that we have a special place in our hearts for Nantucket weddings. So how did two Southern girls (who live in Chicago) become so in love with ACK weddings? One of our very first weddings (Ashley and Harrison's) was in Nantucket, and we've been hooked on the island ever since.

When it comes to nautical nuptials, beautiful Nantucket reigns supreme. Lindsay and Eric's sweet wedding was the perfect example of everything we love about Nantucket weddings. Last summer, the couple said "I do" at the exquisite Nantucket Yacht Club. We combined preppy accents with a crisp and classic colorway to bring the nautical feel of the island to every aspect of their wedding. Get ready to swoon over Lindsay and Eric's sweet and nautical Nantucket wedding, below!
Nautical Wedding Invitation
Lindsay and Eric's nautical wedding invitations were done in navy letterpress, and incorporated rounded corners and their custom wedding monogram. Their monogram paid homage to Nantucket Island, while incorporating the couple's initials. Their invitation was accented with a rope inspired envelope liner.
To welcome guests (who flew in from all over the country) to their island wedding, Lindsay and Eric gifted them with adorable wedding welcome bags. Adorned with their custom wedding monogram, the bags included a waterbottles, wedding koozies, and a welcome packet.
Cheers to Eric and Lindsay, who recently celebrated their one year anniversary!! Can't wait to celebrate with them in Nantucket next week over some sunset cocktails...our fave!

Wishing y'all a very Happy 4th of July!! Make sure you're following us on Twitter and Instagram (@nicoandlala) for updates on our trip to Nantucket!!

Xo,

Nico and Lala

Nautical Newlyweds

Hey y'all!!

It's almost the weekend, and we have exciting news to share! One of our client's wedding is featured in the latest issue of Southern Bride Magazine! Their spread combines two of our very favorite wedding styles (southern and nautical) into one fabulous article. The featured "Nautical Newlyweds," Kyndra and Kyle, tied the knot in a fall wedding in tropical Sanibel Island, Florida. When deciding on their wedding location and decor, the high-school sweethearts combined the groom's love of fishing with the bride's affinity for all things preppy to create a stylish, nautical wedding! Check out their Sanibel Island wedding below, straight from the pages of Southern Bride Magazine!

The couple's anchor monogram was featured on many different pieces throughout their wedding including their ceremony program.
A big thank you to Southern Bride Magazine for featuring this fabulous couple's nautical wedding! We had so much fun working with Kyndra and Kyle, and it's so fun to see their wedding featured. Be sure to pick up your copy of the summer/ fall issue to see their nautical wedding for yourself.

A Whale-y Cute First Birthday

Today we have a whale of a first birthday to share! Declan turned one in April, so his parents threw an adorable underwater party in his honor. Deep sea critters (who were ready to celebrate in their adorable party hats) were paired with a preppy seersucker pattern and bright colors to make him a whale-y cute party invitation! This whale birthday was both kid and adult friendly. While the cute design accents and decorations were fun for adults, kids got to enjoy sweet treats, splash around in a pool, and slide down an inflatable slide! So fun!! Check out more from Declan's whale-y cute first birthday below!

Girl from Ipanema Baby Shower

It's here, it's here!!! Summer officially starts tomorrow! We have to admit, after the long Chicago winter, we thought this day would never come. To celebrate the new season, we're sharing the brightest (and most creative) baby shower we've done this spring.

One of our favorite parts of our jobs is bringing people's creative ideas to life. The more creative and fun their vision is, the better!! So when our longtime customer Erica came to us for help with throwing her girlfriend a "Girl from Ipanema" baby shower, we couldn't wait to get started!! Baby shower honoree, Carolyn's, husband is from Brazil. So when coming up with baby shower ideas, there was no better theme than a "Girl from Ipanema" shower that celebrated both his Brazilian heritage and the impending birth of their baby girl! SO FUN!

Drawing design inspiration from Brazilian pop artist Britto Romero, we infused vibrant colors, bold patterns, and beachy elements to make Carolyn's shower invitations and party swag POP! Check out party pics of this Brazilian baby bash!!
Cheers to bebĂȘ Finza and her parents!! Want to see more work from our design inspiration? Check out some of our favorites from Britto Romero!
This colorful picture of Kate and Will is our favorite piece!!
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and great first day of summer! And a VERY happy (early) birthday to our Lala...we love you!!!
