Circus Baby Shower!

Both of us had so much fun over St. Patrick's Day, but we're back to work this week with some amazing stuff in the works, including hangover kits for bachelorette parties, a sweet sixteen birthday party, and of course...wedding invitations!! We're also working on several adorable baby showers, which made us want to share this sweet party!

Step right up, we have a circus baby shower to share today!! To celebrate the arrival of Christina and Nick's twins, one of our favorite customers (Paula) threw a "couples weekend" in Florida for the parents-to-be! Since the parents lives were about to become a circus, Paula took this fun theme and geared the entire weekend based on this great idea! Lions, tigers, and twins...oh my!! This is not a baby shower you should miss!

St. Patrick's Day in the City!

Happy St. Patrick's Day weekend!

We have such a fun weekend ahead of us, but before we get into it, we HAVE to share the sweetest chevron birthday invitation!
This has to be one of the cutest shamrock invitations we've ever done! That shamrock liner...we die! We love this pink and green St. Patrick's Day invite so much, and can NOT wait to see pictures from Lola's party!!

On to our weekend festivities!! Nico is jetting off to Washington DC for a much deserved girls weekend! While Nicole is in DC, Lala will be back home in Chicago celebrating St. Patrick's Day!!
Never experienced Chicago on St. Patrick's Day? You're missing out!! The day starts early, with the dying the Chicago River GREEN!! This year, Lauren will be heading downtown to witness the green river. As the masses make their way to Michigan Avenue for the famous Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade, Lala will be heading home to whip up a boozy-brunch!! Filled with champagne cocktails, delicious omelettes, and of course, cheesy grits, it will be a very "Sex and the City" St. Patty's Day...Southern style!
We sort of LOVE that this is the picture that came up when we  Googled "boozy brunch." Sonja is our favorite.
Be sure to follow us on Instagram to see more pictures from our fun filled weekend!! Wishing everyone a fun weekend celebrating this fun holiday, and TGIF!!

Winter Olympics First Birthday!!

Just when we thought spring was on it's way to Chicago, Mother Nature played another cruel joke on us. Another four inches of snow fell last night, which officially makes this winter the third snowiest winter in Chicago's history...yikes!! We are so over this weather, but have to admit that the snow did look really pretty on our way into work this morning. So for today we're embracing the snow, and are sharing one of our favorite winter themed parties we helped with in February!
We love first birthdays. There is just something extra special about helping create a celebration for such a big milestone in a family's life. Little Caldwell turned one in February, and we got to help! Since his birthday was during the Olympic games, his mom threw him a Winter Olympics themed party. It's no surprise his party turned out so adorable--Jessie is one of our favorite clients who not only loves a good theme party, but also loves the Olympics. So we knew this was going to be good.

Let the games begin!!

Thank you to Caldwell's mom, Jessie, for sending us her pictures of this winter olympics first birthday!! For more on Caldwell's party, be sure to check out Jessie's blogpost on her blog Bourbon and Boots.

Preppy Palm Beach Wedding

We can not believe it's already Monday! We had a busy, busy weekend, filled with updating our gallery pages on our website, a concert, and spending Sunday night with one of our favorite ladies...Chelsea Handler! The whole weekend was amazing! Back to our website updates! Over the past year, we've done some of our best wedding work yet, but between crazy wedding and Christmas seasons, we haven't had a spare minutes to update our "real wedding" galleries. So finally, a few weeks ago, Lala spent a long weekend in North Carolina with her sister-in-law (of Old South Studio) to take pictures of our wedding goodies from last summer! The pictures are unreal!!

So we spent this weekend uploading her beautiful pictures, and have seven new real wedding galleries to share with y'all! One of our absolute favorites is Alden and Frank's preppy Palm Beach wedding. Their wedding is what we categorize as a drop-dead gorgeous wedding. Its elegant details (including not one but two custom wedding logos) meets the breathtaking scenery of The Breakers Hotel, and a whole lot of preppy goodness. From the couple's engraved wedding invitations, to their navy and turquoise colorway carried throughout their entire wedding...we are obsessed. And yes, we created two custom monograms for this couple's big day. First, a more formal and traditional monogram incorporating the couple's initials. The second logo, used for their save the date and incorporated into their reception, features the couple's monogram covered by a beach cabana!

Here's a couple of our favorite shots from their wedding, including the re-creation of their "reception" logo above the stage and the band!!! SO cool!

Hosting and Toasting

Good morning, y'all!

It's Friday!! Not only is it Friday, but the sun is shining AND it's above freezing in Chicago (for what feels like the first time in months!)

Last week, we got to help with such a fun event!! Lifestyle blogger Brittney Ann (of Hosting and Toasting) came to us to help make her "Coffee and Cookies" event...a little swankier! You may remember Brittney Ann (BAC) from her "Favorite Things" Christmas party that we helped with back in December. This time, BAC was hosting a meet-and-greet in Washington, D.C. for none other than Carly from The College Prepster! We've been fortunate enough to know Carly for awhile now, so it was SO fun for us to collaborate with BAC for this event!

Like all parties, we started with the invitation. Because this event was honoring Carly (the queen of all things preppy), we stuck with a classic navy and pink design. Since both girls are bloggers, the invitation was strictly electronic, and was shared with readers on both of their blogs!

After the RSVP's started rolling in, the real fun began...party swag! With over 200+ people expected to attend, BAC hosted the coffee and cookie's event at a local Georgetown coffee bar. To turn the coffeeshop into a real College Prepster party, we designed lots of pink and navy party swag including napkins, banners, and of course...straws featuring both Carly and Brittney Ann's blog logos. Combined with the adorable cookies BAC had made, and all of Carly's adorable and stylish readers...it ended up being one swanky party!!
The guest of honor...Carly! Otherwise known as The College Prepster.

N&L party swag, including an Instagram sign for the party! Guests were encouraged to tag #coffeeandcookies and #nicoandlala for all Instagram and Twitter posts from the event. Since we couldn't attend this fabulous event, we had so much fun searching the hashtags afterwards! Here's a peek at some of our favorite shots!
Thank you again to Brittney Ann for asking us to help with this fabulous event and providing us with some fabulous pictures! Have a great weekend and TGIF!
